Sheikh Hasina, born on September 28, 1947, served as the tenth Prime Minister of Bangladesh from June 1996 to July 2001. She is the daughter of the late Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh.

Early Life and Education

Sheikh Hasina was born in Gopalganj, Bangladesh and completed her secondary education at Dhaka University. She received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Calcutta University in India and later attended the University of Cambridge for doctoral studies.
